Walk in Closet - Day #2

What a confusing day! We painted the closet and started assembling the closet shelves. I'm starting to reevaluate our original design because it might make the closet seem too crowded. We're putting 3 shelving units (the side shelf units are 17" wide and the middle shelving unit is 25"). Are they too large? I'm afraid that it will be hard to access the clothes hung inbetween the units. We could switch to three 16" units or put 12" units on the side and a 16" unit in the middle to maximize hanging space. I'm not sure what to do so I'm going to sleep on it. :) Here's our original plan:

  1. I would probably simplify and have two walls for hanging clothes and one entire side devoted to pigeon-hole or customised shelving.
    Just a thought.

  2. Hi Keya! That was the original plan, but I share the closet with my husband and we both like to fold a lot of our clothes so we'd prefer to have our own folding space on each side of the closet. We shared a center folding space in the old configuration and let's just say it wasn't evenly shared :)
